One of the fields where Gecsa has specialized over recent years is the area of electrochemistry, mainly in the electrolysis processes of products such as chlorine, copper, zinc, manganese and aluminum. GECSA designs, manufactures and installs high intensity electric conductors for electrolytic processes, especially the connection between the transformer-rectifier and the electrolysers. These sets of bars can be made of copper or aluminum, where the specialization of GECSA in welding processes is noteworthy. For the design of this type of busbar, Gecsa collaborates with the main engineering companies in the world, carrying out specific studies such as dimensional, electrical, magnetic fields, load distribution … In addition to connections between rectifiers and electrolysers, Gecsa designs and manufactures the inter-cell connections, as well as the corresponding equipotential connections. As automation engineering, we provide service with the main software brands of the market to any of the controllable parts of the furnace, having its own regulation of electrodes. In the area of medium voltage, we are distributors of major European brands in electric elements and electrical equipment (vacuum interrupters, disconnectors …) and carry out turnkey projects for the installation of transformers.
